EppoはTheorick Twainが市民から巻き上げていた財宝を取り戻すべく、彼の屋敷への侵入手段を模索している。
プレイヤーはEppoの手伝いをする事になる。

Eppo: Ready the drill, men!
(Eppo：ドリルを用意してくれ！)

Eppo: Darn. The drill just won't start.
(Eppo：クソッ。ドリルが動かない。)

Eppo: Hey, Guard! Do you know anything about Electromagic? Come up here to the drill, maybe you can take a look?
(Eppo：おーい、衛兵さん！エレクトロマジックについて何か知ってるかい？ドリルのとこまで来て、見てくれないかな？)

ドリルの前まで行く。

Eppo: Oh! Never mind, it lit up, back up!
(Eppo：うわ！大丈夫だ、火が着いたんだ、元に戻せ！)

ドリルが爆発し粉々になる。氷の壁は一切傷付いていない。

Eppo: For the love of Bob... Why won't you just break?
(Eppo：頼むよBob…。どうして壊れないんだ？)

Eppo: This ice was created by Theorick, a Twain who defended this area many many years ago.
(Eppo：この氷は遥か昔にこの地を護っていたTwain一族の一人、Theorickによって作られたんだ。)

Eppo: When the corruption got too much... He froze everything, including the people. Do you see them in there?
(Eppo："穢れ"の影響が強くなって…彼は全てを凍らせたんだ、人々も含めてね。その中に人がいるのが見えるだろ？)

Eppo: We've tried desperately to get them out, but we've tried all the equipment we had, including this Corkian drill.
(Eppo：僕達は必死に彼らを救出しようとしているんだけど、このCorkus製のドリルを含めてあらゆる機材を試してみたんだ。)

Eppo: Maybe we should get more destructive... The demolition expert, Rhudya, is further down the cave.
(Eppo：もしかしたらもっと破壊力が必要なのかも…。解体のエキスパートであるRhudyaが洞窟の更に奥にいるんだ。)

Eppo: It's a long shot, but worth a try. Would you be able to get it while I clear this space?
(Eppo：道のりは長いが試す価値はある。僕がここを片付ける間に貰ってきてくれないか？)


ステージ2

洞窟の奥にいるRhudyaに話しかける。

ダイアログ:
Rhudya: Whup! You're on private property, y'know! Oh, Eppo sent ya? That's fair enough.
(Rhudya：ちょっと！ここは私有地だよ！ああ、Eppoが寄越したのかい？それなら良いけどさ。)

Rhudya: You'll be needing this TNT then, make sure not to drop it though, whup!
(Rhudya：じゃあこのTNTが必要なんだね、落とさないように気をつけてくれよ、アハハ！)

Rhudya: Just travel through this cave and you'll be returned to Eppo easy-peasy!
(Rhudya：この洞窟を抜ければ安心安全にEppoのとこまで戻れるよ！)

氷の飛び石をパルクールで渡って進む。


ステージ3

EppoにTNTを渡す。

ダイアログ:
Eppo: Very nice, this might do the trick.
(Eppo：とても良いね、これなら行けるかも。)

Eppo: Back up, I'll ignite the explosive.
(Eppo：下がって、火をつけるよ。)

Eppo: ...
(Eppo：…)

TNTが爆発するが、氷には傷一つつかない。

Eppo: NOTHING? Not even a scratch. I don't understand Theoricks ice.. It's not real.
(Eppo：何も起こらないだって？傷一つ無い。Theorickの氷は理解出来ない…非現実的だ。)

Eppo: I'm not sure what else we can do then...
(Eppo：だとすると、他に何が出来るか分からないよ…。)

Rhudyaが壁を爆破して現れる。

Rhudya: HEY. Eppo, over here! Near the cave!
(Rhudya：おい。Eppo、こっちだ！洞窟の近く！)

Rhudya: Did the explosive not work? I found this old mineshaft on the way back from the cave, it leads to an old lava cavern.
(Rhudya：爆薬が効かなかったのかい？洞窟から戻る途中にこの古い坑道を見つけたんだけど、古い溶岩洞窟に繋がってたよ。)

Rhudya: Might be a long shot, but this lava looks different. Why not give it a try?
(Rhudya：遠回りになるけど、この溶岩は他とは違うみたいでね。試してみたらどうだい？)


ステージ4

坑道から溶岩池に向かう。

ダイアログ:
You should return to Eppo with the lava after you've completed the puzzle.
(パズルをクリアして溶岩をEppoの元へ持っていこう。)


ステージ5

---

パズルを解き、溶岩をEppoに渡す。

溶岩流が流れる通路を作り、下の黒い通路の所まで溶岩を流す。
水色の光線が出ているアームを色付き通路の上まで動かして真ん中のボタンを押すと、通路を持ち上げる事が出来る。
設置したい場所まで持っていき、再度真ん中のボタンを押す事で設置出来る。


パズルを解くと、[Bucket of Blazing Lava]が手に入る。
帰りは近くにあるカートを使えばEppoの所に戻れる。


ダイアログ:
Eppo: I don't understand how you can hold lava in a bucket.. But here we are.
(Eppo：どうやったらバケツに溶岩を入れておけるのか理解出来ないけど…。ここにあるわけだしね。)

Eppo: Truth is.. We're not retrieving these bodies for no reason.
(Eppo：実は…。僕達は意味もなく遺体を回収しているわけじゃないんだ。)

Eppo: We believe one of these people worked for Theorick, and has a key to his mansion
(Eppo：この中にTheorickに仕えていた人がいて、その人が彼の屋敷の鍵を持っているはずなんだ。)

Eppo: We in Nesaak think Theorick has a lot to answer for. We want to redistribute his wealth among those he hurt.
(Eppo：僕達Nesaakの住人は、Theorickに多大な責任があると考えている。奴の財産を奴が傷付けた人々に再分配したいんだよ。)

Eppo: Right, I've dipped this stick in the magical lava. Just hold the rod and walk into the ice to melt it.
(Eppo：よし、この棒を魔法の溶岩の中に浸しておいた。手に持って氷の中に入るだけで氷が溶けるよ。)

Eppo: Look for the corpse with a key, it might be above you. Good luck!
(Eppo：鍵を持った遺体を探してくれ、多分上の方にいるかもしれない。頑張って！)


ステージ6

氷を溶かしつつ、Theorickの使用人の遺体を探す。

氷塊ブロックは溶けないので、それを足場にして[-5575, 22, -21835]にある遺体まで向かう。
使用人の遺体から鍵を回収するとEppoから声をかけられる。

ダイアログ:
Eppo: Is that the right one? You got it? Brilliant! Now come back down.
(Eppo：それがそうかな？手に入れた？やるじゃないか！さあ、降りて来て。)

Now you've obtained the key, you can enter Theoricks mansion
(貴方は鍵を手に入れ、Theorickの屋敷に入れるようになった。)

Eppo: Lets travel to the mansion together. Here, lets take my horse.
(Eppo：一緒に屋敷まで行こうか。ほら、僕の馬を使いなよ。)

Eppo: While we ride, let me explain a little more about what we're doing. Let's go.
(Eppo：行く道すがら、僕達がやっている事についてもう少し教えてあげるよ。さあ行こう。)

馬を右クリックして先に進む。

Eppo: As I mentioned before, there is a reason this land is frozen, and it's not natural.
(Eppo：前にも言った通り、この地が凍り付いたのには理由があって、自然現象によるものではないんだ。)

Eppo: Many years before Bob was around, Wynn was in ruins due to the corruption war.
(Eppo：Bobがいた頃よりも何年も前、Wynn大陸は"腐敗戦争"により廃墟となっていた。)

Eppo: In those times there used to be a group of naturally gifted individuals called the Twains. They defended us all with elemental magic.
(Eppo：その頃、Twain一族と呼ばれる自然の力を操る集団がいた。彼らは僕達皆を元素魔法で護ってくれていたんだ。)

Eppo: Theorick was one of those Twains. He harnessed unnaturally powerful ice based magic. He used it to protect the land surrounding the mansion.
(Eppo：TheorickはTwain一族の一人だよ。奴は異様に強力な氷の魔法を操っていた。奴はその力を屋敷周辺の土地を護るために使っていたんだ。)

Eppo: Theorick.. Wasn't like the other Twains. He wanted the people he protected to pay and feed him as way of thanks.
(Eppo：Theorickは…他のTwain一族とは違った。奴は自分が護る人々から感謝の礼として金品や食糧を要求した。)

Eppo: After years, Theorick was rich while the people he protected lived in poverty and fear - not only of the monsters, but in fear of Theorick himself.
(Eppo：何年か経って、Theorickは裕福になったが護られる人々は貧しい上に、モンスターだけでなく——Theorick自身にも脅威を感じていたんだ。)

Eppo: He punished those who disobeyed his curfews and would get angry if anyone tried to move away. The people felt trapped.
(Eppo：奴は門限を守らない者を罰し、この地を離れようとする者に対して怒った。人々は閉塞感に苛まれていた。)

Eppo: Eventually, just like the other Twains - Theorick fell to the corruption. Not before he had the last word.
(Eppo：最後には、他のTwain一族と同じように——Theorickは"穢れ"に堕ちた。だが奴は最後の言葉を遺した。)

Eppo: He froze the land entirely, killing almost everything and everyone left outside in it. Hundreds of lives were lost.
(Eppo：奴はこの地全体を氷漬けにし、外にいたほとんど全ての物、人を殺した。何百もの命が失われたんだ。)

Eppo: It turns out the ice slowed the spread of corruption across the land to almost a standstill. It's been this way ever since.
(Eppo：この氷がこの地への"穢れ"の拡大をほぼ止めている事が分かった。それ以来、ずっとこの状態が続いているんだ。)

Eppo: Now that we can get in his mansion we hope to uncover the secrets of his ice magic so we may undo it, and share the wealth he hoarded from the people. Ah, we're here.
(Eppo：これで奴の屋敷に入れる様になったわけだから、奴の氷魔法の秘密を解明して元に戻し、奴が人々から貯め込んだ財産を共有したいと思っているのさ。ああ、着いたね。)

ダイアログ:
Eppo: This place looks frozen in time.. The grandure.. Well he did just take and take from everyone around him.
(Eppo：この場所は時が凍りついているかのようだね…。豪華だな…。まあ奴は周囲から搾り取ってばかりだったけど。)

Eppo: So, I'm not sure where to start, but I'm guessing he has some protection in place.
(Eppo：それで、どこから始めたら良いか分からないな、でも何らかの保護はされているはず。)

Eppo: This is unbelievable.. He was such a greedy- AAAAH.
(Eppo：こいつはビックリだ…。奴はここまで強欲——あああぁぁ。)

Eppoの立っていた場所に穴が開き、下へと落ちる。

Eppo: ... I don't think we should insult him..
(Eppo：…奴を侮辱しない方が良さそうだね…。)

ステージ8

Theorickの財宝を探す。

2階右奥の書斎に向かうとEppoが床の穴から飛び出してくる。

ダイアログ:
Eppo: Oof! Wasn't expecting that. That just proves everything I said about him. Punishing people who insult him.
(Eppo：おぉっと！これは予想外だった。これで僕が奴について言った事が全て証明されただろ。自分を侮辱した者を罰するってね。)

Eppo: Anyway, we should look around for some kind of secret entrance.
(Eppo：とにかく、何か秘密の入り口がないか探してみよう。)

Eppo: Trust Theorick to booby trap his own house the paranoid frozen gro-
(Eppo：Theorickの奴、自分の家にブービートラップを仕掛けるとはな、あの偏執狂の冷凍——)

Eppoが再び穴に落とされる。



Eppo: That really isn't fun at all. I can't see a thing. Where are we now, a dead end?
(Eppo：そりゃもう本当に不愉快だよ。何も見えないし。僕達は今どこにいるんだ？行き止まりか？)

Eppo: Well we know that insults result in punishment. Maybe a compliment will make him happy?
(Eppo：まあ侮辱すると罰を受けるのは分かったからね。褒めてあげたら喜ぶのか？)

Eppo: Oh Theorick, strongest of all the Twains, you really are a hero.
(Eppo：おおTheorick、Twain一族で最も強き者よ、貴方は真の英雄だ。)

Eppo: Maybe n-
(Eppo：きっと——)

像が動き、下への階段が現れる。

Eppo: Looks like we finally found his private quarters, look at that vault door.
(Eppo：遂に奴の私室を見つけたみたいだね、あの金庫の扉を見てみなよ。)

Eppo: There must be a way to open it. Look around and see what you can find.
(Eppo：何か扉を開ける方法があるはずだ。周りを見回して何があるか探してみてよ。)


ステージ9

金庫に入る方法を探す。

ダイアログ:
The water is freezing to ice, maybe it opens something?
(水が凍って氷になった、何か開いたのだろうか？)

Eppo: You did it! We have access to the vault.
(Eppo：やったね！金庫に入れるぞ。)

Eppo: Wow, even by today's standards, this is a huge amount of money. Just think how much this was hundreds of years ago.
(Eppo：うわあ、こいつは今の基準でもすごい金額だな。何百年も前にはどれほどの価値だったのやら。)

Eppo: Grab a little for yourself, too, we wouldn't have been able to get here without you.
(Eppo：君の分も持って行きなよ。君がいなければここまで来れなかったんだし。)

Eppo: Wait, look at this. It seems to be a piece of Theoricks armour.
(Eppo：待って、これ見てよ。Theorickの鎧の一部じゃないか。)

Eppo: Surprised it even managed to fit over his fat head.
(Eppo：こいつにあのデブの頭が収まっていたとは驚きだなあ。)

Eppoが天井の穴に吸い込まれてクエスト終了となる。


備考

• 一旦Theorickの屋敷に入ると、Eppoがクエスト開始時の場所からいなくなってしまう。もし途中で詰んで/killで屋敷外に出た場合は、直接屋敷まで戻れば良い。

• Eppoの名前は、GMのPepinho氏のアナグラムである。
• 本クエストは1.18 Economy Updateで旧クエスト『Frost Bitten』から変更となった。
